Great Sims 3 Download Sites

Here are a few of some Sims 3 download sites that I have found which give you links to FREE  custom content that you would normally have to pay for. 

*This will be updated regularly as I may find some more sites later so keep checking this post for more website links!*

The Sims Resource

To be fair, this site isn't completely free and to download anything, you need to sign up. Also, by the Sims 3 EULA law, all of their content should be free.

 However, they do offer 3 subscriber items- A download that you would have been expected to pay for- free everyday! Plus it's easy to download and install CC (custom content) as it only displays items in .sims3packs.

AroundTheSims3

Now this websites is AWESOME! Like TheSimsResource, their CC is in the .sims3pack format making it easier to download but unlike TheSimsResource, EVERYTHING IN FREE!

Although donations to the creator are welcomed, they aren't forced so you can download as much as you like without having to pay one penny!

Third Website:

SimmerHelper

This is a tumblr blog that I have recently found which gives you STORE CONTENT FOR FREE!!!! To be honest, I love that she is being so generous to give us all of these links as I'm sure that some of the CC on the blog, especially all of the Sims 3 base game worlds, cost a lot  of sims 3 points to get. All of her links work but sometimes the content gets removed so you can't download it. Also, she alternates between where she chooses to host her files for downloading so when you see a link to 4shared, make sure you have an account with 4shared as you need one to download anything from their site.

SPARE INFO- {This blog just became even more awesome as the creator posted links to expansion packs and where you can download them COMPLETELY FREE!

Now a lot of people are aware of illegal downloads and I might be saying, or might not, or might be, that my game could possibly have been acquired for free from one of these sites. If you are new to this and you want me to make a post about how to successfully download EP's and the base game or how to update your game from those websites then comment on this post or just send me an email.}

So, I know there are only three websites here but I thought that it would be better to just get the main websites out there as when you have these websites, the amount of CC you can get from all of them together can last you for the whole of your Sims 3 playing life.

Typing in Korean (Windows) - Link For Macintosh

Hey everyone, here's a simple guide of how I got to type in 한글 on my Windows 7 Professional laptop and my Windows Vista Ultimate computer. Those of you looking for a guide for macintosh go here : http://www.foolsworkshop.com/120a/koreanmac.html

Ok, so my fellow Windows users! Here we go! All of these steps will be shown with images from a laptop with a Windows 7 operating system.

1. Go to your START MENU and click on CONTROL PANEL.

2. For Windows 7 users, your control panel should look like this. Now, what you really want to find is the 'Change keyboards or other input methods' link under Clock, Language and Region.

• For Windows Vista users or XP users, the link might not be the same but look for something with the gist of changing keyboards.

3. Once you've found the tab and clicked on it, you should get something like this.

    Make sure that you are looking at the KEYBOARDS AND LANGUAGES Tab. Normally its the default tab that you are taken to. Once there, click on the 'Change Keyboards' button.

4. Once you've gotten there, click on the 'Add' button and this will allow us to add Korean as another Input language for our keyboard. 

*On the left you can see that I already have Korean as an input language but I'll un-tick it and show you how to add it anyway. :D*

5. After you have clicked the 'Add' button, you will see a list of various languages which you can select to add as an input language. Scroll down the list and FIND KOREAN. The list is in alphabetical order so it shouldn't be hard. Once you've found it, click on the small '+' sign on the left of it. You should see this.

6. The expanded options are what you should see. 

• Korean

• Microsoft IME

• Show More

Other

• Ink Correction (64-bit Only)

Now, there are two things you have to do if you have a 64-bit operating system if not then you should only put a tick next to the MICROSOFT IME option. Once you've done this, skip to step 7.

• For 64-bit operating systems (like mine) You must also tick the MICROSOFT IME option but also, under OTHER, select the 'INK CORRECTION (64-BIT ONLY)  option. Now you can progress to step 7. 

7. You are virtually done! Just click OK  to get off of this box but on the 'TEXT SERVICES AND INPUT LANGUAGES' YOU MUST PRESS 'APPLY' OTHERWISE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO TYPE IN KOREAN! 

Once you've pressed apply on that screen, click OK on the next one!

TURNING ON '한글'

To turn on Korean, you must make sure that you know where your language bar is, the easiest place to keep it and what I think must be the default place for it to be kept is the taskbar. If you are English and your default input language is English then you should see a little 'EN' on your taskbar like so.

It's the same for Windows Vista users.

 IF THE 'EN' IS NOT THERE, RIGHT-CLICK THE TASKBAR AND SELECT 'SHOW THE LANGUAGE BAR.'

2.Click on that 'EN' sign or whatever language you use and select Korean, you should see it here.

As you can see I have a lot of languages installed but that's only because I can't be bothered to uninstall them. The only ones I use are English (United Kingdom), Korean and French. :D

3. Now you're language bar should appear like this. Click on the 'A' because it's the Hangul/English toggle so you can click on it again to change from Korean to your default input language and then you're all done!
