Why Can Psy Succeed in the U.S. Market but Girls' Generation(SNSD) Can't?

We all know that Psy released a new single called 'Gangnam Style'.
That single has gone global and it has nearly reached 10 million views on Youtube, making him a world  star. Even at just over 92 million views, PSY breaks the record for all Korean artists on Youtube.
It is causing a big issue because Psy did not do any other special promotions like many other artists would have other than to simply upload his music video to YouTube. This one video allowed him to go overseas and become a world star.

Now, we all know that SNSD have been trying to make it in the western world and so far they haven't managed to make a dent in the music industry over here. This also goes for many other successful KPOP artists who also get many millions of views on Youtube (although not as much as PSY :P)
It's hard to believe but up until 'Gangnam Style', Girls Generation 'The Boys' had been the KPOP video which carried the most views on Youtube. Although it did reach around 55 million views it did not succeed much in the states and I'm assuming not much here (London).

Other artists such as 2NE1, Big Bang and SHINee have all reached around the 40 million mark but
the main difference between Psy and Girls' Generation and all of these artists would be where in the world that all of these views come from. Although Girls' Generation, Big Bang and 2NE1 have all reached high numbers, they are all mostly from different parts of Asia such as Malaysia and Indonesia. So they haven't really left their comfort zone as they are mostly just based in Asia.

But the 'horse-riding' dance that PSY performs in 'Gangnam Style' is funny and so you don't need to know Korean to just enjoy his music. (Although I don't think that's not the case for my BIGBANG and 2NE1). And with more views on his video coming from the western world, this lets him be successful in breaking into our market.

But does anyone really want Girl's Generation to break into western world pop? I'm not anti or anything and I would love to see some KPOP when I turn on my TV but I don't think that they are the best option to break into the industry, I mean, people will not take them seriously (I know that I didn't at first).
Who are you rooting for to come out in the western music industry?
I'm team BIGBANG and 2NE1.
What do you think?
